Confession – Family Portrait Photographer Squamish

I’m kinda scared of the water and don’t really much like boats.
I don’t even eat fish.  Nothing that comes from the water actually.
Yes, INCLUDING lobster.
Pretty West coast for a girl who grew up here, hey?
So of course when Julie asked if I was willing to do their photos while out sailing on their boat I said, “Hell yes!”
….and I shushed that little voice in my head.
The plan was to go out sailing, but with a few factors to consider they opted to do them at the docks and on the boat.
An idea I was equally stoked on.
….and it had the added benefit that I wouldn’t have to suffer the embarrassment of breaking down in tears
on the boat should a whale get up close or some such terrifying thing as that!   Shudder.
Hooray for dry land and adorable families!  We had so much fun, even dad.  ..a little I think!
Oh and those mountains.  How I love those mountains.
Big hunky chunks of dirt and granite goodness high, HIGH above sea level.

Grinning Weasel is Cheryl Voigt, a Squamish based photographer specializing in maternity, newborn and family portraits.

And I’ll go just about anywhere.  Even a boat.
