Every so often I get so lucky to meet someone who is really just such an intricate thread of this community we get to be a part of.
That would be Kim. As of today I dubbed her a Saint.
This family just recently made their way back to Squamish after a couple years away on the East coast of the US and there were plenty who were happy to see them back!
I had just barely had the pleasure of meeting Kim before her family was off and have had a few small opportunities to get acquainted over the school year.
Kim had wanted to do family portraits forever but it was finally going to come together and I should say she was pretty excited. And nervous. And excited. Mostly excited.
And just so, SO sweet.
We had scheduling and weather nightmares and wiggled and bent and finally went last minute on an entirely different day. On a whim.
And it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Her boys. The Sea lions and sunset. Even a guest appearance by Fergie.
I know I can’t capture it all in our time together. There’s no hope of capturing in a photograph all that goes into being a family.
It wiggles. It bends. It has scheduling nightmares. Sometimes it goes out entirely on a whim.
And it’s perfect.
